I am a graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School (class of 1993), and I also attended elementary school here at Greenock! I attended the University of Pittsburgh where I received a B.S. in child development from the school of social work, and then continued on to receive my teaching certificate in early childhood education. This will be my 19th school year in the district. First as a substitute, and then for 12 years at Central Elementary in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade. I am now entering my 4th year of teaching here at Greenock.
I am the mother of 4 children: Maura, age 17, Zachary, age 15, Daniel, age 6, and Joshua, who passed away at the age of 4 in 2011. I have always loved working with children since I can remember, and have been an advocate for children with special needs. (My son Joshua had Down Syndrome.) I have been married to my husband, Scott, for 19 years.
I enjoy any outdoor activity, and spending time with my family. My children are very active and keep me constantly busy with all their extra curricular activities. (I'm sure many of you as well have the same dilemma!)
I am looking forward to beginning a new chapter in my career here at Greenock! We are going to have a fun and exciting year of learning. Thank you for all your support!
